The Perfect 72 hours in Whistler: Winter vs. Summer

Four Seasons Whistler

Whistler, BC, is pure magic. Just hearing the name evokes feelings of grandeur, fun and a little bit of mystery. It’s one of those places that stays with you, no matter how much time has passed.

I first visited when I was 10, and I still remember being completely in awe of the mountains, the snow, and just how magical it all felt. Fast forward to this past January (my first time back as an adult) and the second I arrived, it all came rushing back. The towering, snow-covered peaks, the incredible skiing, the fun après scene, and off-mountain adventures… it was everything I remembered and more.

The week I spent there this winter was amazing, and I’ll tell you more about it below, but Whistler isn’t just about winter. In the summer, the mountains turn into a giant playground. Think hiking, biking, paddleboarding, and soaking in those dramatic mountain views. No matter the season, Whistler has this undeniable magic that makes it stand out from every other mountain town.

If Whistler’s on your list, I’ve put together a 72-hour itinerary with the best of both winter and summer.

Save this for later. You’ll want it when the mountains start calling!

Where to Stay - both summer and winter:

This is the easy part: Stay at Four Seasons Whistler Village. Hands down the best hotel in the area, it’s just steps from the mountain and delivers top-tier service, luxury accommodations and the kind of hospitality that makes a trip truly special. While there are other great properties in Whistler, none quite match the Four Seasons when it comes to overall experience. If you’re looking for the best, this is it.
