Opulence in the Sky: Inside the Four Seasons Private Jet Experience
The Four Seasons Private Jet Experience epitomizes luxury travel in a league of its own. While its reputation has been well-established since its debut in 2015, it wasn't until my recent firsthand experience in Seattle that I truly grasped its incredible allure. I was completely blown away!
From captivating itineraries spanning destinations like Rwanda and the Galápagos Islands, to a dedicated team of onboard professionals including an Executive Chef and Concierge, every aspect has been meticulously crafted by Four Seasons to ensure an unforgettable journey.
In this blog, I delve deep into the intricacies of the jet experience, offering insights into the physical product, exceptional service, and unique journeys that set this experience apart. Come along as we uncover the secrets of luxury in the skies. Read on, and feel free to reach out with any questions or are interested in booking the experience (we provide extra VIP perks)!
The Jet
Stepping into the aircraft, I immediately sensed the distinctive ambiance of Four Seasons. The fully-customized Airbus A321LR neo jet, designed by the same team behind Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts, exudes comfort and elegance. With just 48 handcrafted, lie-flat Italian leather seats, the aircraft boasts an abundance of space — a stark departure from its commercial counterpart, which typically holds up to 244 passengers. Despite my modest height of 5’5”, I was pleasantly surprised by the generous headroom in the main cabin, accommodating passengers standing 6 feet or taller with ease. Each seat is accompanied by a plush personal ottoman, ingeniously doubling as a cozy companion seat for spontaneous conversations with fellow travelers, fostering an atmosphere of intimacy and relaxation.
At the rear of the aircraft lies a spacious lounge area, inviting travelers to connect and unwind. Here, Four Seasons culinary artisans take center stage, showcasing their talents and crafts. The lounge effortlessly accommodates groups of 8-10, providing the perfect setting to enjoy a glass of wine, engage in friendly card games, or simply take a respite from your cabin seat.
While lavatories are often overlooked in flight experiences, the design of these onboard facilities rivals that of a luxury hotel suite. Complete with all the necessary amenities, a lighted mirror, and warm wood accents, the lavatories elevate the in-flight experience to new heights of sophistication.
Below are some of highlights of what makes this jet truly exceptional:
Brand-new, first-class-dedicated Airbus A321LR neo
48 handcrafted Italian-leather flatbed seats with 6.5 feet of personal space
Widest and tallest cabin of its class, offering more room to relax, dine, and socialize
Standing lounge area for unique interactive in-flight demonstrations and connections
Dedicated space to engage with Four Seasons traveling masters
Personal ottomans that transform into stylish seats for visitors
Larger lavatories reflecting a more residential style for added comfort
On-demand entertainment and in-flight Wi-Fi
iPad for every passenger on the plane
The Itineraries
While the jet itself is undeniably impressive, the true allure of the Four Seasons Private Jet Experience lies in the perfectly curated itineraries that offer unparalleled opportunities for exploration. These journeys take you to destinations and provide experiences that otherwise could not be arranged, even with a private jet at your disposal. The jet affords access to airports not commonly served by commercial carriers, and its flight schedule is designed to optimize your time in each location, eliminating the need for overnight flights and maximizing your stay to an average of 3 nights per destination. Trips range from 14 to 23 nights, ensuring an immersive experience at each stop.
Flight durations typically average 6 hours, with shorter flights of around 3 hours on certain routes within Africa, for example. However, it’s the experiences and activities on the ground that truly set these itineraries apart. Tours are intimate, with no more than 6 passengers per group, ensuring a deep and personalized exploration of each destination. You have the flexibility to request private or custom experiences (for an additional fee) or opt out of activities altogether to pursue your own interests.
To maintain a sense of exclusivity, all transfers to and from the jet are private, and individual room upgrades are available (subject to hotel availability). As one would expect, most locations include stays at Four Seasons properties in each destination, unless they don’t have a property in the area (think Antarctica). While most itineraries are designed for the adults, the African Wonders trip welcomes children 7 and older to join in the adventure.
Though the above details are important, the itineraries themselves are the highlight and I want to let them speak for themselves. Below is a list of current offerings, and we’re eager to discuss them further and delve into any that pique your interest.
Let us know which itinerary intrigues you the most, and we’ll be happy to provide more information.

The Cabin Crew & Four Seasons Staff
The quantity and quality of staff accompanying each journey fill the experience with a personalized touch. With an onboard cabin crew comprising 8 members dedicated to serving only 3 rows (6 passengers) each, their attentiveness ensures that assistance is readily available without being spread thin.
During our viewing, we had the pleasure of meeting Executive Chef, Angie, who showcased her culinary mastery and provided insights into the food service process. Prioritizing guest satisfaction, all dietary restrictions are carefully accommodated and meals can be tailored to individual preferences as needed. Each flight includes a meal service, with flights over 3 hours featuring a unique 3-course meal. Additionally, the lounge offers a selection of snacks, with bottomless Dom Perignon available on-demand, an extensive wine list, and speciality liquors and wines available on request.
What truly impressed me was their seemingly unwavering commitment to personalizing the experience for each guest, with no request deemed too large or small.
In addition, an Onboard Concierge is at your service to attend to every need, whether it's adjusting room preferences or arranging tours and restaurant reservations. Meanwhile, the Director of Guest Experience seamlessly orchestrates all logistical aspects, collaborating with a ground services coordinator to ensure smooth transitions at each destination.
Upon boarding, guests receive a Four Seasons-branded leather tote bag for their convenience throughout the trip. Should you indulge in shopping, rest assured that the staff can arrange for items to be packed and shipped to you if you opt not to carry them for the duration of your trip. Additionally, guests receive a cosmetic bag and amenity kit with quality products that are replenished as needed throughout the journey.
This exceptional service is further complemented by the presence of an in-flight physician who attends to the needs of both passengers and crew. With a team of 3 pilots and an onboard engineer, passengers can rest assured that their trip, both in the air and on the ground, will be conducted smoothly and safely.
